Astitva Foundation took a significant step toward aiding the underprivileged by organizing a blanket distribution drive on January 7, 2025.

The event was held in Ranchi's Blind Colony, Tamtam Toli, Khadgadha Bus Stand, Arvind Nagar, Doranda, and Paras Toli slums.

Dr. Kriti Srivastava Maji, the foundation’s director, spoke about the initiative’s goal of providing warmth to those enduring the severe cold. She stated, “We aim to ease the discomfort caused by cold weather, especially for those who are struggling.”

The foundation’s mission also includes empowering and supporting the third-gender community, alongside the general public. Dr. Maji emphasized that the foundation’s ongoing efforts are directed at ensuring these communities receive both social and economic assistance.

Naseem Gaddi, the former councilor, Somvit Maji, and Firoz Ji were also present at the event and contributed to the distribution work.

This event brought relief to many families in need, helping them battle the extreme cold. Dr. Maji also called for more people to come forward and support such noble causes.
